empower® AI – July 2026

New Features & Improvements

  • Icons can now be added to the picture and icon library in .svg format.

Fixed Issues

  • Fixed an issue where slide creation based on .pdf files would crash or fail to display the content for the step Refine Slide.

  • Fixed an issue which caused pictures to be replaced with icons during slide generation.

  • Fixed an issue where no layout suggestions were shown when clicking on the button Change Layout after uploading a slide via the button Improve Slide with AI.

empower® AI – June 2026

New Features & Improvements

  • A drop-down menu has been added to the start screen in which users can choose the presentation mode before creating a slide.

  • A drop-down menu has been added to the start screen in which users can choose which slide layout library they want to use for the creation of the slide.

  • A tutorial video is now accessible from the start screen, showing a short demo of empower® AI.

  • The performance of the layout selection display has been improved.

Fixed Issues

  • Fixed an issue where uppercase file extensions for pictures in the picture library (e.g. .JPG, .PNG) caused the upload of the picture library to fail.

  • Fixed an issue where uploading slides with large content (e.g. high-resolution pictures exceeding ~3MB) resulted in a generic error, particularly in PowerPoint Online.

  • Fixed an issue where no layout suggestions were shown when trying to change a layout for a slide uploaded via the button Improve with AI.

empower® AI – Main Release

General Information

empower® AI is a web add-in that can be integrated into the PowerPoint desktop application and PowerPoint Online.

With empower® AI, you can create new slides for your presentation and fill them with content using AI, all while staying corporate design compliant.

Feature Overview

  • Users can create a slide from scratch via the button Create Slide with AI.

  • A guided start screen helps users begin generating slide layouts from predefined prompts.

  • Prompts can be entered using voice input.

  • Users can provide more context to empower® AI by adding documents or links to their prompt.

  • Users can select single or multiple text elements and refine them together using AI-powered contextual actions.

  • Users can replace pictures with new suggestions from empower® AI or pictures from their device or their clipboard.

  • Users can replace icons with new suggestions from empower® AI.

  • Users can create slides containing charts and data tables based on the data provided in the prompt.

  • Users can choose between inserting slides with master or without master via a split button.

  • Users can start a new chat if they want to start from scratch.

  • Users can improve an existing slide directly from PowerPoint via the button Improve Slide with AI, extracting the current slide's content and structure for AI-assisted refinement without starting from scratch.

  • Users can change the layout of an existing slide while preserving content.

  • Users can restore versions while creating or refining a slide that had been created within the same chat session.

  • Users can access the profile menu directly from the empower® AI window in the PowerPoint add-in, making support and version information easily accessible.

  • A Third Party Notice is accessible from the profile menu, providing transparency about third-party components used in the product.

  • The empower® AI window adapts its layout display to different screen resolutions, ensuring consistent design symmetry across various monitor sizes.

  • Users are notified when an AI request cannot be processed because the tenant's token quota has been exceeded, with a clear message explaining the reason.
