Delete the empower® Sync Login Token on macOS Devices

Sometimes, a logout is required to resolve synchronization issues.

In some cases, the empower® Sync log in the same user again after logging out because the login token for the empower® Sync has been stored in the background.

If this is the case for you, you can delete the token from the macOS Keychain Access and then start a fresh login.

Delete Login Token from Keychain Access

To delete the login token, follow the following steps:

  1. Make sure PowerPoint is closed.

  2. In the empower® Sync window, choose the option Quit (Figure 1, “Option Quit).

  1. Open the Keychain Access.

    To do so, search for it via the Spotlight Search.

  2. Under Login and All Items, search for com.madeinoffice.empower.sync (Figure 2, “Delete Login Token” (1)).

  3. Right-click on the listed item.

    A context menu opens.

  4. In this context menu, click on the option Delete "com.madeinoffice.empower.sync" (Figure 2, “Delete Login Token” (2)).

  1. Open the empower® Sync again and choose the option Logout (Figure 3, “Option Logout).

  2. Then, either open PowerPoint or choose the option Synchronize now in the empower® Sync window.

    You will be prompted to log in again.

  3. Log in to the empower® Sync with your user credentials.
