SharePoint & Teams integration (early access version*):

• You can now integrate centrally selected areas from SharePoint and Teams in the empower library. This makes it much faster and easier to access content and find them all via a central slide search.

Empower links in presentation mode:

• If you use the new empower links and add them to shapes in a presentation as a link, you can now jump directly to the selected item in the library in presentation mode. This way you can build dynamic presentations and dynamically link any number of different slides and presentations from the empower library. This feature requires the installation of our free web library and the content must be available offline.

Better startup performance:

• empower now starts up to 30% faster in many situations and thus delays the start of PowerPoint much less.

Optimization of the synchronized data volume:

• empower now stores the locally synchronized presentations in an optimized way, so that the local storage requirement is reduced by up to 50% and thus the sync goes through much faster.

Slide conversion optimization:

• empower's new slide conversion now works even better for various special cases and enables a nearly perfect migration experience.

Progress Indicator for major operations:

• empower now shows progress on major operations like slide conversion, design check, updates and agenda.

Improvements

• Improved behaviour connected to opening the agenda editor without an available agenda template
• Improved behaviour of the Position Painter when working with multiple screens
• Fixed an issue that caused the reset of tags when existing slides were overwritten in the library
• Fixed an issue that in some cases resulted in the deletion of notes after a new master is applied to a presentation

Excel Links no longer supported in empower slides

Please note that our Excel Link feature is no longer part of empower slides starting from our 8.10 release. Thus, this feature is now wholly included in empower Charts with an even better performance and extended variety of options when creating an Excel Link.
