My "Edit Data" button in empower slides and charts is grayed out

Attention: This is valid for all empower charts versions in the 8er version up to 8.4 

If your "Edit Data" button is grayed out in empower charts, check the following:

  1. Try to add the attached RegistryKeys to your system, they would increase a certain tolerance.
  2. In Excel you find the entry for the DataInputAddin, make sure that this AddIn is activated. You can reach the entry when Excel is started under:
    • File>Options>Addins>COM Addins (see screenshot)DataInput.png
