empower® has been upgraded to .NET10 Desktop Runtime to ensure continued platform support as .NET8 Desktop Runtime reaches end of support.
.NET10 Desktop Runtime is only required if the .NET10 variant of empower® Chart Creation or empower® Charts is in use.

The user interface, including icons, has been improved.

It is possible to continue editing older charts with version 10.0. These will be technically migrated upon first selection.

Charts created or edited with version can also be edited with older software versions .
However, certain formatting will be lost, e.g. because older versions do not support certain features.
It is therefore recommended to roll out version 10.0 to all users promptly.

A new chatbot is available and can be accessed via the button in the group empower.
This chatbot can be used to ask for help or further information regarding empower®.

When inserting, moving, or resizing charts, magnetic guiding lines are now available to help align the charts with other objects.
Charts can still be inserted directly into placeholders.

When multiple charts are selected, properties such as axis options, formatting, and bar widths can be applied from one data chart to all other selected data charts. The most recently selected chart is used as the source chart.

A format painter mode can be started via the properties menu of data charts. The format painter mode allows properties such as axis options, formatting, and bar widths to be applied to other data charts, including charts on different slides.
The charts from which the format painter mode is started is used as the source chart.

A preferred category and bar width can now be set in the User Settings.
This defined category and bar width can then be applied to single data charts using the option in the properties menu.
Alternatively, the category and bar width of a single data chart can be applied to other charts using the format painter mode.
Additionally, it can be applied to all relevant data charts in the current presentation using the option under the button in the group empower.
In general, the preferred category and bar width can be applied on all charts containing bars or columns. The preferred category width can also be applied on Mekko charts. The options mentioned above can be used to apply consistent formatting to all relevant data charts in the presentation.

Gantt charts have been optimized:

In the time axis settings, a custom date format can be defined. This custom date format can be applied to all elements in the chart.

The Gantt chart can be set to adapt its Gantt period automatically to the time span currently covered in the chart.

Task bars and milestones can now be styled using reference styles.
To do so, one task bar or milestone is formatted and designed as required. All task bars or milestones that are inserted either to its right or below this first task bar or milestone are then styled in the same way.

If a connector line is added to a chart, pressing simultaneously now allows the user to draw additional connector lines directly after the first one.

Task bars, milestones and markers can now be moved out of the chart area partially or completely.

Status elements in the notes areas can now be deleted individually.

Harvey Balls in the notes area can now be colored individually.

Default texts inserted in the first column of phases and rows are now selected directly and can be edited right away.

A wider range of pattern styles is now available.

The Share feature used to share slides or presentations now also supports the New Outlook Client.

Customizing options have been expanded to support additional chart styles, including more modern visual designs with subtle effects.
A new customizing, PowerPoint Master (modern), has been added as an example and is available alongside company-specific customizings and the existing Flex Customizing.

The empower® AI Chart Assistant can now be enabled as a beta feature.
It allows users to create, update, and modify charts with the help of a company-managed LLM instance.

An optional setting can be made available in the User Settings that allows users to load charting features only when needed instead of loading them automatically upon PowerPoint startup.
The default state of this setting can also be configured.

The rotation options in the Layout Tools have been improved.

In the User Settings, the point limit above which the restricted mode is entered can be adjusted.
Restricted mode is entered automatically if this point limit is reached in a data chart, improving the performance for the chart by reducing the editing options for most data points. In restricted mode, only start and end point as well as maximum and minimum of each series can be edited as usual.

The legend positioning has been improved.

The stability of relative positioning when resizing charts has been improved, including the stability for individually positioned labels.

Charts can now be duplicated by pressing while dragging them to another position on the same slide.

Additional editing options have been made available for lines and arrows.

In the company-specific customizings, the legend icons can be defined to be displayed a small or large size.
