Use Integration Folders

Available from Version: -

Operating System: Windows

empower® Add-in: Template Management

If your company uses other integrations, these integrations can also be made available in the empower® Library.

Depending on your company's choice, integrations such as Icons8 or Unsplash can be made available.

Integration folders may not be moved nor deleted because these changes would lead to the folders not working properly anymore.

Therefore, you have limited options in the folders' context menu.

However, you can edit the permissions to an integration folder if you have been assigned the required permission role.

In addition, integration folders can be renamed by folder administrators.

Note

Due to technical reasons, empower® cannot synchronize the permission distribution for some integrations. That means that users can access all resources via the integration folder, regardless of their permissions.

Note

For the integration folder for Unsplash, the folder permissions cannot be edited via the empower® Library.

Note

For further information regarding the permission concept, see Permission Concept.

Some integration folders require a login to be used.

Therefore, you will be asked for your credentials for the integration when you first open the integration folder. If there are multiple folders for one integration, each folder requires a separate login.

If you use the library search, it might occur that multiple login windows open up because you access multiple integration folders at once.

If you have logged in once, you will not need to log in again.

Note

Integration folders support the common file types for pictures and videos.

However, .mov files cannot be supported due to technical limitations in PowerPoint.

Note

To use integration folders, an internet connection is required. Therefore, integration folders cannot be made available offline.

Note

Depending on your empower® Setup, there might be no integration folders available.

Searchable Integration Folders

Integration folders that are searchable appear to be empty when you open them (Figure 1, “Search Integration Folder” (1)).

That means that these integration folders do not have their own folder structure.

To view content, you need to search for content via the library search.

To do so, set the search scope to Current Folder (Figure 1, “Search Integration Folder” (2)).

Then, enter your search word into the search bar and execute the search.

In the search results, you will then be provided with all suitable contents from your integration folder (Set up Integration Folders).

If you select an element, you can also view the corresponding metadata on the bottom of the library window.

Alternatively, hover over an element to view its metadata.

You can now use the content as you use all other content from the empower® Library.

Important

While searching content in the integration folder, empower® Tags or filters that are available in the integration itself cannot be taken into consideration.

The search fields are also not taken into account for search results from integration folders.

Note

The number of search results is limited. This limit differs between integrations. Therefore, it might occur that not all content available in the integration can be displayed.

empower® does not have any impact on the displayed results. Therefore, make sure your search word is as precise as possible.

Note

For further information regarding the library search, see Search in Library.

For further information regarding tags, see Element Tags.

For further information regarding search fields, see Fields.

Some integrations have their own icon instead of the folder icon in the empower® Library.

These icons cannot be changed.
