View Enabled empower® Add-Ins

empower® for Windows consists of COM add-ins which integrate into the Microsoft Office applications.

After successful installation of empower®, the empower® Add-in should be enabled in the respective Office applications.

If empower® is not loaded after the installation, you can check if the add-in has been enabled or not.

In case the add-in has not been enabled despite successful installation, contact empower® Support for further troubleshooting.

Note

If empower® is not loaded correctly, the empower® Ribbon might not be available.

In case of empower® Charts or Chart Creation, the button Edit Data in the action bar might be grayed out.

To view your enabled COM add-ins, follow the instructions in the section Add or remove a COM add-in under Add or remove add-ins in Excel.

These instructions work for all Office applications.

If the checkbox is ticked, the add-in is enabled. If the checkbox is not ticked, the add-in is disabled.

If the empower® Add-in is enabled but the issue persists, please check the following:

  • Have you or your IT department recently updated your device to Windows 11?

    If this is the case, reinstall empower® on your device and check if the issue persists.

  • Do you have other add-ins installed that might be incompatible with empower®?

    If this is the case, disable all other add-ins except for empower® and then reenable them consecutively.

    If you can identify which add-in is causing the issue, provide empower® Support with this information.

Note

If you have installed the .NET 8 variant of empower®, PowerPoint and Excel display two empower® Add-ins.

Make sure both add-ins are enabled.
