Incompatibility of empower® and other Add-Ins

Some add-ins, such as S&P Capital IQ and SAP IBP, cannot be run in combination with empower^® Charts or Chart Creation.

As these add-ins and empower^® use the same technology (.NET8 Runtime), the add-ins use the same add-in ID during registration.

Therefore, the add-ins overwrite each other and only one of the add-ins can be run at the same time.

This is because either the other add-in or empower^® claims the load behavior of .NET8 Runtime for itself.

For the installation of empower^®, this means the following:

If you use empower^® Charts or Chart Creation and have used the .NET8 installer for empower^®, you cannot use the other add-in at the same time.
If you use empower^® Charts or Chart Creation and have used the .NET Framework installer for empower^®, you can use the other add-in at the same time.
If you use empower^® but have not purchased and installed empower^® Charts or Chart Creation, you can use the other add-in at the same time.
