Export Element Data

Available from Version: 9.2

Operating System: Windows

Required Permissions: User

If there is a broken element in your empower® Library, you can provide the empower® Support with a data export for this element.

To do so, you can export the metadata and binary data for the element as a .zip folder.

Important

At the moment, the export is only available for elements that have been saved to the empower® Backend.

Therefore, elements originating from integrations such as SharePoint, Icons8 or Unsplash are excluded.

To export the data for a broken element, follow the following steps:

  1. Open the empower® Library.

  2. Navigate to the respective element.

  3. Press the key Alt while right-clicking on the element at the same time.

    A context menu opens.

  4. Choose the option Export element (Figure 1, “Option Export element).

  5. Choose a storage location for the .zip folder and save the file.

  6. Now, you can send the request to empower® Support and attach the .zip file as a reference.

The .zip folder contains all metadata and binary data for the element.

Note

In theory, all users can export the .zip file.

However, the option only becomes visible if you press the key Alt while opening the context menu.

Note

Depending on the file size, the export might take a moment.
