You can add so-called tags to an element if you want to add information to the element's metadata (Figure 1176, “Tag Presentation”). |

To do so, follow the following steps: |

If you want to add the same tag to multiple elements, select multiple elements at once by holding down the key while clicking on the elements. Then, click on the symbol. Now, follow the steps to add tags. |
|
|
In addition, you can add tags to an element directly when you save it. To do so, click on the symbol next to Add a tag in the library window (Figure 1181, “Add a Tag When Saving”). |

|
Tags can be used to find elements more easily when executing a library search. |
Important
Only users with the permission roles Editor, Author or Administrator can add and edit tags.

Note
You cannot add tags to elements that are located in an integration folder such as Icons8 or Unsplash.
Note
There is a limit of a maximum of 1020 characters for all tags placed on an element (Figure 1182, “Character Limit”).

The tag list consists of tags that are in use for at least one element (Figure 1183, “Tag List”). They are sorted in alphabetical order. |

To remove a tag from the tag list, remove it from all elements it is used on. |

To remove a tag from an element, follow the following steps: |
