Start Delays
When using the Microsoft Defender or any other security software, the first loading of the DLLS increases the CPU load of a Defender process enormously. This delays the loading process by around 10-20 seconds. This behavior is intended by e.g. Microsoft Defender and has no specific correlation to empower.
In some cases, Defender issues an additional Windows message during such a scan:
This scan process can be controlled by the following Group Policy:
To prevent these performance issues, we recommend that you scan our products in advance, install them in the per Machine installer variant and set up an exclusion in Microsoft Defender or any other security software.
Setup Exclusions
Exclusions can be setup up in three different scenarios:
- Microsoft Templates
- Local Appdata
- Program Files
Important: Our recommendation (with the greatest effect) would thus be to exclude the entire directories - see below - in the security policies of your Windows Defender and/ or any other security software that is in use.
