Completely Uninstall empower® Slides for macOS

In troubleshooting scenarios, it might be necessary to remove empower^® from your device. Therefore, you need to uninstall empower^® completely.
To do so, you need to perform the following steps:
Disable the add-in. Delete the add-in (> version 9.0). Delete empower^® Data. Delete the empower^® App.
The single steps are further described in the following sections.

Disable the Add-in

To disable the add-in, follow the following steps:
Start PowerPoint. In the task bar, open the tab Tools (Figure 1, “Option PowerPoint Add-ins” (1)). Choose the option PowerPoint Add-ins (Figure 1, “Option PowerPoint Add-ins” (2)). A dialog box opens.	Figure 1. Option PowerPoint Add-ins
In the list of available add-ins, untick the checkbox for empower-slides (Figure 2, “Dialog Box for PowerPoint Add-ins” (1)). Click on the button OK (Figure 2, “Dialog Box for PowerPoint Add-ins” (2)). Close PowerPoint.	Figure 2. Dialog Box for PowerPoint Add-ins

In versions >= 9.0, you do not need to delete the add-in separately.

You can skip this step and follow with the instructions under Delete empower^® Data.

To delete the add-in in versions < 9.0, follow the following steps:

To delete the respective folder, you need admin permissions on the device.

To delete empower^® Data, follow the following steps:
Make sure PowerPoint and empower^® are closed. Start the Finder. Here, open the tab Go (Figure 4, “Option Go to Folder…” (1)). Choose the option Go to Folder… (Figure 4, “Option Go to Folder…” (2)).	Figure 4. Option Go to Folder…
Navigate to the path /Users/[USERNAME]/Library/Group Containers/UBF8T346G9.Office/. Replace the placeholder for the user name. Delete the folder empower (Figure 5, “Folder empower”).	Figure 5. Folder empower

Deleting the folder empower deletes all synchronized data.

Your next synchronization may take some time.

To delete the empower^® App, follow the following steps:
Make sure PowerPoint and empower^® are closed. Start the Finder. Here, open the tab Go (Figure 6, “Option Applications” (1)). Choose the option Applications (Figure 6, “Option Applications” (2)).	Figure 6. Option Applications
Search for empower (Figure 7, “Delete App empower” (1)). Move the app to the bin (Figure 7, “Delete App empower” (2)). Empty your bin.	Figure 7. Delete App empower
If you have followed all steps above, empower^® has now been completely removed from your device.
