Delete the empower® Sync Login Token on Windows Devices

Sometimes, a logout is required to resolve synchronization issues.

In some cases, the empower® Sync logs in the same user again after logging out because the login token for the empower® Sync has been stored in the background.

If this is the case for you, you can delete the token from the Windows Credential Manager and then start a fresh login.

Delete Login Token from Credential Manager

To delete the login token, follow the following steps:

  1. Make sure all Office applications are closed.

  2. In the empower® Sync window, click on the gear symbol and choose the option Exit (Figure 1, “Option Exit).

  1. Open the Credential Manager.

    To do so, search for it via the Windows search bar.

  2. Click on the button Windows Credentials (Figure 2, “Credential Manager” (1)).

  3. Search for all entries that start with mio.empower.DataClient.Sync (Figure 2, “Credential Manager” (2)).

  4. Remove these entries via the option Remove (Figure 2, “Credential Manager” (3)).

  5. Restart an Office application, for which you have installed empower®.

    The empower® Sync relaunches automatically.

  6. Log in to the empower® Sync with your user credentials.
