Information Collector Tool

The Information Collector Tool is used as part of the support process and is used to localize errors.

Please be aware that this tool only works on Windows operating systems. 

This helps us to make the support process as precise as possible and thus to find a solution as quickly as possible. The Information Collector is a tool that allows to collect log files, especially system information (Office version & running PC), in form of a ZIP file. Further included information are: empower® licenses, proxy settings, connection, Net versions, AV programs and Windows version. The tool is available in form of a standalone application you can download (see link below).

Therefore, we ask you to reproduce the behavior again, noting the time, if possible to the second. This way we can assign the entries from the log files to the individual steps and analyze the logs efficiently.

Unzip the downloaded ZIP file and open the folder. Double click on the file InformationCollector.CLI.exe in the displayed folder. A window should now pop up for a short moment and immediately close again. You will now find a new ZIP file with the title empowerInformation.zip in the folder where you unpacked the tool. Please send us the ZIP file and also mention the previously noted time.
