empower® Information Collector

The empower® Information Collector can be used in troubleshooting scenarios. It collects all support relevant information related to empower®.

This information is combined in a .zip file and can then be forwarded to empower® Support for further analysis.

Important

The empower® Information Collector can only be executed on Windows devices.

The .zip file includes information regarding your current empower® Version, Office version and Windows version in addition to your empower® Licenses, proxy settings, .NET versions and antivirus software on your device.

This information helps empower® Support to resolve issues.

To execute the tool, follow the following steps:

  1. Reproduce the behavior you have experienced.

  2. Note down the time, if possible to the second.

  3. Extract the .zip file you have downloaded.

    The unzipped folder contains the file InformationCollector.CLI.exe.

  4. To execute the file, double-click on it.

    A window opens. It should close immediately again.

    The collected information is stored in the .zip file empowerInformation.zip in the execution directory of the tool.

  5. Send the .zip file empowerInformation.zip to empower® Support with a subject using the following format:

    [Customer Name] – [Topic of the Issue] – [empower Version]

    empower® Support will take care of your request.
